A slow start with big books for me, but there are plenty to be getting into - Oathbringer, Great North Road, The Unholy Consult, the Old Testament, Kristin Lavransdatter, complete Edgar Allen Poe, rereads of Ulyssess and His Dark Materials, and plenty more.
Also the prospective The Winds of Winter which we hope will be published later this year, cross everything !

Yes it is MissWatson, I'm reading 40 or so pages a day to finish it this month. Am enjoying many of the stories, there is the well known 'The Pit and the Pendulum' and 'The Fall of the House of Usher' but my favourites so far (360 pages in) is the satirical 'The Literary Life of Thingum Bob, Esq.' and 'How to Write a Blackwood Article'.

The titles sound promising. But I don't think my edition has those. Off to check.

Hi Bryan, they're not in my edition, but those are selected stories. I found them on Gutenberg, bless them, but I haven't found time for reading them yet.

Began two big books Great North Road 1087 pages, and The Canterbury Tales at 735 pages, but slow going. Not getting as much reading time as I would like, the lovely Christine's idea of holidays being the time to be busy on lots of jobs is the opposite of mine !??

Soon to begin European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman by Theodora Goss, at 708 pages. The sequel to The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter and one of my favourite reads of last year.
