Good morning:

I'm Ellen Ekstrom, a Library Thing Member from Berkeley, California looking for a safe place to chat about my love of books, writing. I'm also a Library Thing Author in the Group Hob Knob with Authors. I've got three grown children, I'm clergy in the Episcopal Church (on sabbatical) and to support my frenetic lifestyle, I work as a legal secretary. Right now I'm reading Elizabeth Chadwick's series on William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke. My favorite periods are Medieval England and Italy, and Historical Theology. Happy New Year to all!

Welcome to SF Bay Area Library thingers. We're not very active, but I do think that Librarything generally has a pretty high level of civility. What have you written?

Hello, MuranoBlue:

My novels: "The Legacy," a tale of 14th century Florence and Tuscany, published in paperback by Trivium Publishing, and now in ebook with ireadiwrite Publishing LLC (a Canadian small press); "Armor of Light," a retelling of the St. George and the Dragon legend, "A Knight on Horseback," contemporary women's literature; and "Tallis' Third Tune," also contemporary women's literature. I'm with ireadiwrite Publishing LLC and have been for almost three years.

I'm getting ready to visit BookPassages this morning to introduce myself and give them a press kit for "Tallis' Third Tune," though I am skeptical of the reception - but you can't expect to succeed without a few doors slamming in the face.
