Romance Novelist travels into her book /fantasy world she created

I would have read this book sometime in the 90s. The heroine was a romance or fantasy novelist who somehow is transported into the world she was writing about. I can't remember much more than that. It's not much to go on, but does it ring any bells for anyone?

My first thought was tumbling through time, but that published in 2008.

Possibly remembrance? It features a romance novelist who spent the novel being transported into her past lives and she did record some of this in her books.

Good guesses, and thank you for trying to help. I appreciate it. I loved Remembrance! That's not the one I am thinking of, though. Dragging possibly wrong details from my memory... The world she writes about is a castles and warriors type place, possibly with magic commonplace in the world. Romance novel though, rather than straight fantasy. Published when time travel novels were so popular.
