Sobre mi biblioteca
My interests are all over the place, and I'm subject to sudden and all-consuming passions, which explain the large number of books by John Stilwell (whose writing I always find lucid, even when the mathematics he's describing are completely beyond me) and the wideban edition of Rumiko Takahashi's Maison Ikkoku.

At heart I'm a computer and science fiction nerd, but a childhood spent rapaciously devouring library science fiction collections has left me kind of jaded when it comes to genre tropes, so these days I tend to gravitate towards authors who problematize genre a bit -- Haruki Murakami, Philip K Dick, Shirow Masamune, James Tiptree. On the other hand, an appreciation for the difficulty of the craft of fantasy and science fiction has left me with an enduring fondness for well-written young adult fiction, which means I have a fair amount of books written for children picked up as an adult (especially books by the great, and terrifically underrated, H.M. Hoover).

I'm still getting my library entered, and even though I read a lot of comics and graphic novels, I haven't even gotten close to dealing with that part of my collection. I also seem to have acquired an awful lot of technical books about software engineering and programming languages, and will be entering more of those as time goes by.

Someday if I have the time, I'll get the to-read and have-read collections up to date, but they aren't yet.
