- Sobre mi biblioteca
- Over the years my library has fluctuated between containing a thousand or more books to as few as 50 when I moved across country or decided to simplify my life. What was I thinking! I find myself haunting thrift stores and library sales to repurchase books that I may have owned 3 or 4 times before.
My library is currently in boxes until I find a permanent house. As I packed books to prior to moving I added them to a database program so I can feel free buying more books after consulting my database. After several attempts to import it to LibraryThing it finally worked this week but I know several boxes were packed before I started, mostly very old books that once belonged to my mother and her sisters in the 1920s and 30s. - Sobre mí
- I've recently retired after a varied education and employment history. In my lifetime I've been a babysitter, waitress, pea-packer, store detective, draftsperson, bartender, secretary, project control manager, tutor, research assistant, logistics coordinator, security officer, event manager and worked for PBS. I know I've missed a few careers in that list.
Recently moved back to Wisconsin after spending 26 years in the Phoenix area. I'm raising a teenage granddaughter (I don't remember it being this hard!) Considering going back to work part-time as a substitute teacher at the high school.
I collect vintage glass and stop at all roadside historical markers. I also tend to give impromptu history and geography lessons when driving near anything that has a story. - Ubicación
