(1), I cry and cry reading this heartbreaking truthful account of the author's hardship life in China during Mao's ruling period and how he succeeded in getting himself free from the situation to a better and safer life. (1), I'm not a Christian so this comes as a surprise and learnt something from this book about the third secret. Quite interesting. (1), My first attempt at this author and it got me hooked on all her other books which is very good indeed. Not a single one let me down until now. I am collecting and reading all her books. The writing is simple with short sentences so it's a face-pace read. A must read! (1), Funny and cute writing especially when the child speaks in the story. Easy to understand (1), This is good! And since this one (1), Kind of interesting to know how a lawyer works and its procedure from the main character who is a fresh graduate in law. I have yet to watch the film based on this book. By reading the book is already like watching a good movie. (1), You would never believe this is a work of fiction as the plot is just so convincing. Thumbs up for the first novel of this author. Strongly recommended! Beware: You will cry like mad! (1), You would be her loyal fan after reading this. Trust me!
