Born in Little Rock, Arkansas after the Civil Rights Act, I have spent my career teaching and writing about race, gender, and social equity issues.

I have lived all over the world--having taught in or spent extensive research time in Turkey, Australia, England, Canada, and throughout the US (Oregon, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas).
