Sobre mi biblioteca
Are you looking for that something extra that will bring a distant land to life in your classroom? We can help you brighten up your classes with colorful clothing students can try on, traditional instruments and games students can play, and films showing what daily life is really like in other countries.
Our libraries contain curriculum guides, non-fiction books, literature in translation and folktales, videos and DVDs, and artifact trunks and clothing. Choose from literally hundreds of items of nearly every shape, size, and description that can help you enhance your existing lesson plans or develop new ones.
Our lending libraries are available to educators nationwide. There is no charge to borrow items; the only cost is return postage.
Sobre mí

The University of Texas at Austin has one of the most distinguished South Asia programs in the country. As a National Resource Center for South Asia, we are Funded by a Title VI grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The Title VI grant also provides resources for outreach programs to K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, business and civic organizations, and the Texas community at large. The Outreach Program at the South Asia Institute aims to provide support services to educators and community members to foster a deeper engagement with South Asia and an ongoing relationship with the Institute. We have built strong relationships with school districts across Texas, helping educators to integrate the study of South Asia into their general curriculum. We provide a range of services to K-12 educators including audio-visual aids, lesson plans and workshops. As a part of our federal mandate, our outreach services are free of charge.
