Sobre mi biblioteca
Our group reads books by women authors, books by male authors that feature female main characters or subjects, and books about women's issues. Selections run the gamut from "Harry Potter" to Henry James; Gloria Steinem to Gertrude Stein; Anne Frank's diary to "Stone Butch Blues." We choose books by consensus, and we ask that members actually read a book before proposing it to the group. At times, the "selection" is anything by or about an author, as in the case of Edith Wharton, Virginia Woolf, or Amy Bloom. We read classics, anthologies, graphic novels, best sellers, fiction, nonfiction, biography, science fiction. We're open to anything, as long as it's by, for, or about women!
