- I've got about 800-820 books in my house, no real bad eggs since I've done a recent cull. I read a lot of fiction, but I enjoy non-fiction as well. The only genres I haven't gotten into are Mystery, Romance, Westerns, and anything I've never heard of. As a guilty pleasure I'll sometimes pick up non-fiction books about bad childhoods or war criminals or cult victims. Sampling of the stuff I like? Gormenghast and The New Weird, books about Nature, gay or lesbian fiction (though I haven't found many good ones).
