J. Y. F. Cooke (John Long, 1906): Obscure and tepidly "decadent", this is a collection of tales of near or long-past adulteries and accidental, on the verge of naughty, incidents of transvestitism (etc.). Bernard Muddiman mentions him briefly in Men of the Nineties to compare him to Hubert Crackanthorpe. Two of these stories of strange women may be found in the anthology, Bachelor's Quarters. The entire collection is available for free download on the internet.
