Summer Sizzle is a spicy, fast-paced, paranormal romance. I liked that in this world everyone already knew that vampires existed, they were just not seen very often. This allowed us to skip the explanations and disbelief. Jenna's character is very sweet and Peter's presence helps her find her confidence and worth. I was really interested in Peter's past and his singing career. However, with this being a shorter book, the character development was not deep. Jenna and Peter's relationship moved super quickly and got extra steamy. With a surprise ending, this Hot Bite story is perfect for a warm summer evening.… (más)

I loved this one - it was a nice twist on the "rock star" romance. I loved Peter the moment we met him, he's such a sweetheart, even though he's a vampire, and they're not known for being sweet or kind in Jenna's world. Even though Jenna doesn't have any special powers, this kind of gave me True Blood vibes, and I'm not sure why. (Maybe Jenna's trusting nature and innocence?) The story itself moves along smoothly, if a bit slowly at times, and there are characters you'll love and ones you'll love to hate (Jenna's ex). Two novellas, Drawn Together and Written Together, where the heroes and heroines find love while working at the same school. In Drawn Together, Tessa is drawn to substitute teacher Graig. His ex-girlfriend is doing her best to get him back. This causes Tessa to feel second best, a place she has decided she does not want to be.

In Written Together, Adam had dreams of being with Tessa, but when she and Graig get together, his dream ended. He begins noticing Melissa but what would she want with a geek?

I enjoyed these stories. Both ladies have a kink that they are reluctant to reveal to their men. When they do, the men are more than happy to satisfy them. I like how the conflicts make all of them face the truths of their feelings and build stronger relationships.

I enjoyed Wendi's writing. I liked the continuity of the stories building on each other. I will be reading more of her… (más)
