What a fun book for today's children! This book was showcased in my school district and I find it very exciting. The authors did a great job researching realistic items that are being created as we speak! There's even a whole bibliography that has articles they used and websites to visit. This book is a close look into the future to show what it might be like for children to live thirty years from now. It follows a young boy from the time he wakes to the time he goes to bed detailing all the possible advancements and developments that might be made by then. It shares some of the interesting things, like virtual batting practice, hovering skateboards, and meatless food.
Provides an interesting perspective on what life might be like for kids when they get older. I was totally surprised by the ending, but I loved it! With all the new changes, the boy still ends his day by reading a book - Awesome! Good discussion starter for what life might be like in the future. The book has some engaging cartoon-like pictures, presented in a picture book format.
