Praying with Jane Eyre: Reflections on Reading as a… por Vanessa Zoltan
I really enjoy the Harry Potter Sacred Text podcast. I even bought tickets to see Vanessa do a live show in Tacoma. So I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint.

This tells how to take any book and read it as a sacred text. As I read the chapters sentences spoke to me. As first I read shallowly then I started to read deeper into the words, and I started to understand what she was saying. I am captured by this book. I want to find the essay of Carthusian monk, Giugo II and read it so I know what he said about reading possibly leading to prayer. Sheila1957 | 2 reseñas más. | Oct 7, 2022 | I loved this blend of memoir and how the author utilized reading Jane Eyre as a way to bring the sacred into her life. I’ve listened to her podcasts but not every one, so I enjoyed hearing more about her life and how having all four of her grandparents as Holocaust survivors affected how she relates to the world. I haven’t read Jane Eyre in years, and this makes me want to do a reread as well as figure out what may be sacred texts of my own.
