I read this book upon learning that Thomas Coleman "Cole" Younger was a nephew of a wife of Clark Braden, a former minister of First Christian Church in Bloomington, Illinois.

Cole Younger (1844-1916) is best known for taking part in the robbery of a bank in Northfield, Minnesota, in September 1876. He and two of his brothers, Bob and Jim, were captured and sentenced to life in prison. After serving his sentence for twenty-five years, Younger was pardoned. He returned to his home in Missouri.

Ten years after writing his story, Younger became a Christian and lived his remaining years faithful to his church.
