A look at the people who think of themselves as Silicon Valley, as the author follows the nerdy college dropouts who were winners of the first round of Peter Thiel fellowships, paid $100K to start a company instead of college.

Written largely as slice-of-life, relying on direct quotes from people, the author leaves you to decide for yourself whether this is good or bad, but by emphasizing one narrow band of people, you get a misleading picture of what Silicon Valley really is.
