“Duplicitous: A Novel” by Neil F. Wilson is an adult thriller following the kidnapping of infant, Yunha Miller. Detectives Mike Brady and Steve Raynes are assigned to the case. Yunha’s mother, HaRin, is involved with the North Korean government. Yunha’s father, Nathan, enlists the help of private investigator, Jack Colden to find Yunha. I found this to be an ok read that needs some editing and revisions. The plot was good and shows a lot of promise. There is a warning from the publisher that adult situations are present in the book. There aren’t many, nor are they explicit. Personally, I felt they should be removed as they don’t add to the story. I received a copy of this book from LibraryThing’s Early Reviewers program.… (más)

Plot line is good, typical gritty crime in a big city with secret agents, cops etc. Now the male characters are well written, come off as natural but the female character HaRin just is not really believable, she shoots from one emotion to another for seemingly no reason. The writing is choppy between scenes and feels rather jarring at times. Very close to putting this book down many times due to the poor way HaRin comes across. Very much a guy book.

Hiii! This book was phenomenal! I had gotten this book just for me at first but then my brother decided to read it and loved it!! The relationship between James and Rufus is absolutely amazing. I think everyone should have a friendship like theirs! Both stories gave such an Adeline especially after reading the first, "Bigfoot File," which gave a background story and action, going into the second book was a breeze. Nearing the end of the second book just left us wanting to read more! I really hope this "funk" that James is in never ends!… (más)
