A great book to introduce African and English terms when telling a folktale. This book would be a great participation book for young or reluctant readers. Gizo-gizo means spider in Hausa, a language spoken in Ghana. This African folktale tells about a spider that poisons the lagoon with his trash. When he himself gets sick from eating the poisoned fish in the lagoon, he decides to clean up the lagoon.
