Since I am the author I will have to wait for someone else to offer their reviews — but I think it is a terrific read. ;-)
The remarkable story of one man's love for a regiment which he raised out of his private funds and initiative at the outset of the Great War. It would initially be manned by active ex British servicemen recruited in Canada, but later university students from across Canada. A wealthy Montrealer, Gault lost a leg in the Ypres Salient in Flander's as well as his first wife thru a messy divorce, but perservered through to the end and brought the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry home after the war.
