Entomology tours are a few hundred meters, plant walks are a few kilometers, bird "walks" are dozens of kilometers, right? Not with this book. Many of the tours here comprise all-day driving trips, are described in a couple pages, and mention only a few plants. Does this format work? I guess. Does the author get around to mentioning most significant species? Perhaps. But you never really have a good idea of what could be potentially, where. Oh well, that's what the internet's for. If interested in road tours, in stopping en route to a particular NE destination, in getting a bibliography of interesting botanical sites, this book is an ideal reference. Glossary and bibliography are excellent. Plant list seems a bit light, again it's a result of the many but brief narratives.… (más)
