Not a bad romance. The pacing seemed uneven. The timing of the twists seemed forced.

The romance here is all up front, the couple get engaged at the very beginning, and then a series of misunderstandings pull them apart. Full of spies, secrets that must be kept for the good of England and such.

Desiree Nash is propositioned by Viscount Buckworth and she rejects him, a year later circumstances force her to become his mistress. They find themselves more and more attracted but can he get over the fact that she had become his mistress and could be considered unsuitable. The path of true love never ran smoothly.

A noble Man, is where Sophia decides to go against her family's wishes to marry an upper-class man. She finds herself attracted to a groom but what will happen when she discovers that he is in fact a duke?

They're run-of-the mill pretty forgettable but quite readable historical romances.
