An interesting, if sometimes uncomfortable, look at the history of typewriting. That's typewriting, not typewriters, although a cursory history of the machine is included of necessity. The book highlights the sometimes uneasy relationship between the machine and the machinist, stretching from the early days when both typist and machine were known as 'typewriters'. The book gets a little psychological - a little 'far out' - in the middle, however overall it raises interesting points. Not a waste of time, but likely to appeal only to very specific individuals.… (más)
