Second book in the series "Top Ten Landmarks", I read it by a coincidence as my son was already reading them, it was supposed to be a quick read that I will not log into goodreads due to it's very small size
and it toke only about 10 minutes to read but it was actually nice, and contained good information, not as good as the first book in that series but still it was good

In "Rudy Garcia-Tolson" by Ann Weil the main idea of this biography is how Rudy Garcia-Tolson is a hero. In this book it talks about how Rudy was born with birth defects to his mouth, hands and legs. Even though he had a disability he was able to prevail once he got new legs. The new legs helped him try new things such as running, swimming and walking. After some practice Rudy started to complete in triathlons and soon enough he was winning them at the Paralympic Games. Rudy is a hero because he's a role model to many kids who have disabilities. He shows how no disability can stop you from succeeding as long as you're willing to work hard. This biography is a great book to use in the classroom because it helps students see that anything is possible. I recommend this book to students who are in first through third grades because it's available at different reading levels to reach all students.… (más)
