Michelle Wan
Michelle wrote her first book when she was five. It was hand-printed and almost a page long. A Bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Stanford University and an M.A. in geography from the University of Guelph did little to prepare Michelle for a professional life coaching tennis, teaching ESL in Rio de Janeiro, and working in international development, international higher education, program evaluation, and addictions. But she had great fun along the way.
Wild orchids rank high among Michelle’s many enthusiasms. She also loves traveling with her tropical horticulturist husband Tim, hiking, dogs, good books, and good food partaken in the company of friends. Michelle and Tim go regularly to the Dordogne in southwest France to photograph and chart wild orchids. Her mystery novels draw their inspiration from the flora, food, and remarkable people of that part of the world.

I read Deadly Slipper for those and wish there had been photographs and no murder!
