Biografía breve
G.J Walker-Smith’s day job used to be in the stressful world of property management, until she realised she’d rather write books and raise her babies. She lives in Western Australia, has an egotistical French bulldog, a love for really good coffee and a million stories in her head that she hopes to put into print.

I didn't expect to finish this book in less than 24 hours because I haven't sat down with a delightful book in almost a decade.

.. But I did.

This book delves into the storyline fairly quickly, introducing each character and their meanings without missing a beat. I read one of the one-star reviews and although I can understand the reader's annoyance about cliff hangers; I don't think the review was fair on the author nor the intentions of the story. This is part of a series so I expect cliff hangers into the ending.

Back to the book. I didn't miss a beat. I read every word. I took in every little visual the author intended to introduce into this book. I know many people can relate to the issues that seventeen-year-old Charli the spider was going through, along with her dreams and aspirations. Then there were the secrets that could have confused any teenage girl who felt her entire life was a lie. Oh, let's not forget big wonder who helped her build the confidence that she needed to move forward with her goals.

Should the ending have ended the way it did? I expected Ethan and Nic to do what they did and yes, the ending was a brilliant touch. It leads me to download the next series and in five hours, I will review Second Heart (wishes number 2), and hopefully, I'll find out what happened to Mitchell and Roe somewhere down the line.

In less than two months, I was already hooked on this series, so I wanted to play catch up before Stone Rose is released the first quarter of the new year. As with the series goes, it is very easy to get attached to some of the characters and the author made sure you get to know each one individually. In this book, it was sort of a Secret North part two, played out through the perception of Charli and Adam. Most of the chapters were written the same as Secret North so if you read that book, it became repetitive.

I am still giving it a five star because the book was great, nonetheless. The stories of magic and fairies that comes along with Bridget's crazy antics leave you with hope and adoration. G.J. Walker Smith gave you a very well written scheme of art. The string of spider web really made me a believer that the author really knew what she was doing as I look up from my book every thirty minutes to a spider that lingers around the porch, in which I named Charlotte a few months earlier.

Maybe there was a web that this book and I were accidentally weaved into? I almost forgot how I even came across this series but whatever it is, it's probably magic ;)

I've had this title for a while but my NOOK was in storage but I forgot that I can download the app on my phone. Anyways... As always, I love this series. This actually provided more inept look at Fionas life before Jean Luc. It was funny that she's smuch a hopeless romantic especially if you've been following how she treated Charlie.

This story follows her in her younger days and how she's always felt like royalty. I never disliked Fiona because she's pretty hilarious as the socialite.

I also read this whole book with a british accent running through my head. I mean, its only right lol. If you're planning on reading this book, you will have to read it from book #1 and do not miss a beat.

Charlotte is a small town girl with a gift for photography and a wish to travel the world. In Pipers Cove, Australia there isn't much to do outside of school, surfing and stirring up trouble. Her reputation has long been ruined by her previous mistake of a relationship, and she can't wait to leave the bad memories behind. Until Adam shows up in town to visit family. This foreign boy with his American ways quickly wins Charlotte over, but is she about to make the same mistakes?

As much as this book advertises that it is about a small town in Australia, outside of the constant gossip this could have been any town, anywhere. There was nothing to make it stand out and say it was a small town, or that it took place in a certain country. There was no local culture worked in whatsoever. I approached this book with caution because it was labeled as a romance, but I was hoping to see something unique out of it since it was set in Australia. Boy was I let down. I could have forgiven the lack of an interesting setting if the story was well written, however it was severely lacking.

There isn't much that actually happens in the story. Sure Charlotte meets Adam who is a cute out of town French American, he's got an accent to swoon any girl, but the story sort of ends when they meet. It's instant attraction and supposedly destiny the two characters meet. There really isn't much conflict aside from Charlotte trying to avoid becoming the town's hot gossip for dating the new guy. I'm sure teens who are new to relationships might enjoy this, as Charlotte endures self-doubts that are common for one, but I can't see adults enjoying this story. I actually don't even have much else to say about the book due to its lack of plot. Not a series I will continue.
