I freely chose to review this ARC from an author I wasn't familiar with, and although the story lagged in places, I found myself at the end before I wanted it to! Richard and Graham are the oddest pair of white men going to Africa to write a book about African life. While Richard is a teacher from the UK, Graham is an American pothead getting drugs in every city and lazing around without a care in the world and still longing for his ex-girlfriend. The two found themselves in the middle of carnage with nowhere to go and no help.… (más)

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was such a joy to read. I found myself reading it again once I completed it the first time. The second time I shared little pieces with my husband and teenager. My teenager asked to read it himself and he said he liked the book. The message the book leaves the reader with is a lesson for anyone at any age. I am sure I will be reading this book again and would recommend it to ANYONE! I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.… (más)
