I enjoy a good Intertext (re-telling) of classic tales, especially fairy tales. I grew up with them and watched all the Disney films... You know, 90s nostalgia and all.

Verity Fairy is a sweet, little series I found that retells classic fairy tales. It's quite fun and lovable, if I'm being honest. I'm glad I was able to pick up the Snow White adaptation while I could!

This book retells the story of Snow White but includes our favourite, little fairy Verify Fairy. This fairy tries her best to help, but sometimes gets things a little mixed up. This story is fun and quite the great picture book meets chapter book read. I think many young readers will have fun with this one.

Verity Fairy is a wonderful, short chapter book series that pulls in fairies and fairy tales!

This book is rather sweet, even if it has a bit of mischief in it. This book retells Sleeping Beauty, but throws Verify Fairy into the mix! What happens if this lovely, little fairy caused a lot of the trouble in our classic fairy tale?

The little illustrations add a dash of fun to the story, and make it fill out quite well. This book is a great way to get young readers excited about reading! It's fun, fantastic and full of fairy tale fun!

I definitely recommend this as an introduction to chapter books for fairy tale lovers. There are lessons to be learned and friendship is key! This book does a great job of erasing a lot of the negative that can be associated with this fairy tale.

A retelling of Cinderella. Verity is sent to help the Fairy Godmother get Cinderella to the ball on time but Fairy Godmother has problems of her own with which Verity helps her so she can focus on Cinderella. Fortunately for Cinderella, Verity is there to pick up the slack. Verity also has problems and is afraid to ask for help. Her friend, Celeste, comes to help her.

I enjoyed this book. It is a bit of a fractured fairy tale but it was fun. I chuckled at Cinderella's hesitation to give up her comfy slippers. I found Verity way to introduce Cinderella and the prince humorous as was her way to get rid of the stepsisters. Fairy Godmother needs a good doctor to get her back to healthy ways. Verity is adorable.

I found the drawings throughout the book wonderful. It is a chapter book so good for your 6-9 year old who is learning to read. I look forward to more books in this series.… (más)
