This book is a follow-on to the author’s ‘Hall of Infamy’. If you enjoyed that, then I expect you will enjoy this more than I did. The work is firmly within the erotic flagellation genre, as the title indicates, and the majority of the flagellation described is F/F, with M/F taking a rather poor second place, despite the number and state of dissipation of the considerable number of full-blooded males. Flagellation is only occasionally a preliminary to more direct erotic stimulation, and even then, self stimulation tends to predominate. Virosa’s style, for me, doesn’t quite avoid the trap of repetition that dogs the erotic genre, and the increased number of characters in this book compared with the earlier one isn’t really used effectively. The additional females are introduced with the help of excellent cameos, but they are then fed into the mill of rivalry-powered F/F and lust-driven, rather arbitrary M/F chastisements without enough concern for individualities.
