Sobre El Autor

Renee J. Vaillancourt is a freelance writer, editor, and library consultant. She earned her MSLS at the Catholic University of America where she received a U.S. Department of Education Title IIB Scholarship for Young Adult Services. She has served as the Youth Services Librarian at the Lincoln mostrar más (Rhode Island) Public Library, the Access Center Librarian (serving people with disabilities) at the Boston Public Library, the Young Adult Services Coordinator at the Carmel Clay (Indiana) Public Library, and the Assistant Director at the Missoula (Montana) Public Library. She is the author of Bare Bones Young Adult Services (American Library Association: 2000) and several articles and book chapters on serving children and young adults in libraries. She has been active in YALSA since 1992 and has served on the Quick Picks, Youth Participation, and Publications committees. As a Serving the Underserved trainer, she has conducted numerous workshops on Young Adult services across the United States. She is currently Feature Editor of Public Libraries magazine, the journal of the Public Library Association, and a consulting editor with ALA Editions. mostrar menos
