1995 A Short History of the Channel Islands, by John Utley (read 5 Apr 1986) This is a 1966 book, the early part of which was not too interesting, but the account of the 19th and 20th centuries was interesting. The Germans occupied all the islands in 1940 and stayed till May 9, 1945. Guernsey, Jersey, Sark, and Alderney are the main islands. Herm is a little island between Sark and Guernsey. There are a few rocks around but this book does not indicate anyone lives on them: Chausey Island, Paternosters, Casquet Rocks.… (más)
