Outstanding. You don't have to be a runner to appreciate what Marshall Ulrich has done, even if you don't quite understand how he could possibly have physically completed all of the challenges he has set for himself.
An excellent book, an excellent story.

I'm an ultra runner myself but by no means the level of Marshall Ulrich so I thought this book would be interesting. The main story of this book is Ulrich's run across the U.S. at age 57 and trying to break the record for the fastest crossing. Trying to make something like running 60 miles a day for 57 days is very difficult. Ulrich talks a lot about his relationships with his family and race crew. It always seems to flip flopping and conteversial which really wears on the reader. I find these runners to be obsessive and literally a little full of themselves.
