A pretty useless book. Uses a lot of pages to say current medical science doesn't really know what is happening with tinnitus, or how to treat it, except for a few types related to disease or drug side effect. Makes no mention of mercury poisoning as a potential cause, or of the interaction of alpha lipoic acid and dental amalgam. For the majority of tinnitus cases, the main "treatment" suggestions are counseling, noise masking, & learning how to concentrate and sleep better. Some alternative treatments are briefly discussed, but always ending with "not proven": acupuncture, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, homeopathy, supplements (gingko, zinc, vitamin B12).… (más)
