I loved the illustrations - I liked how the hair moved throughout the narrative into the current activity. The rhymes were good. Target audience 5 stars, my rating 3.5.

The rhyme scheme is a little rough at times, but the illustrations are gorgeous! And the story does a nice job of echoing the themes of the movie in a very, very simple text.

"Prilla had an unusual talent, even for a fairy. She could visit children anywhere in the world just by blinking. Prilla's talent was very important. By visiting children, she helped keep their belief in fairies alive. And fairies thrived through children's belief."

Prilla blinks out to visit some kids and when she blinks back, they come with her, totally by accident! How much fun would that be? Ask any little girl you read this story too and I'll bet you get a very positive answer. This is a really cute chapter book recommended for 6 to 9 year olds, and I think that's the perfect age group for it. And just knowing that Tinkerbell is in it should be enough for some kids to love it immediately.

I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

5/5 stars.

I received a copy of this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

fantasy book for girls who dream of being magical and heroic. A good read for young girls who are not afraid to chances. I would suggest this series for girls who are getting excited about reading chapter books. These are great for big imaginations and kids who like to dream of things beyond their nature.

The girls go back home but Milkweed, a mouse, seems to come through with them. Mia's cat seems to be missing now. Then Lainey discovers a breach in a fence near their homes. Lainey goes back and finds Mia's cat who is reeking havoc in Never Land among the fairies. What is going on?

I enjoyed the girls finding a breach in the area between earth and Never Land. I also liked them fixing what the cat has done to the fairies. I like that there will be more stories between the girls and Never Land. This is perfect for an young elementary school reader. All with Tinkerbell and the other fairies.

Lainey, Kate, Mia, and Gabi get caught up in a blink and end up in Never Land. There they meet Tinker Bell and the other pixies. They get a tour and a chance to fly but Kate wants to fly back unlike other children in the past so she finds a pixie who will help her return.

I enjoyed this story. Tink is funny. She definitely has certain ideas of how things should work. I liked the girls even if Kate breaks some rules. This is for beginner readers but is fun for adults to relive believing in fairies. Looking forward to book 2.

Artwork and lettering are awesome, and a story about being free is... unique at this age.

Cute fluff. Tink loses her hammer and her skill, and has to go get her spare hammer from Peter - and she finds that friendship isn't totally destroyed (though Peter's joke is _nasty_!). The way rumor and gossip spring up is also rather nasty, though it's unclear whether most of the fairies are merely sorry for her or enjoying schadenfreude. And hmmm, there's a fairy tinker's hammer in some crow's nest somewhere...I don't know how much continuity this series keeps (probably not that much, but it would be cool).

Tinker Bell is the best pots-and-pans-talent fairy in all of Pixie Hollow. But then she looses her tinker's hammer and her world is turned upside down.

Polly Winkler, a fourth-grade girl who does not have a mother lives in a house with her family. When the Kreep family moves into a mansion that Polly sees as haunted, she is resolute to keep Veronica Kreep and her family out of her life. She sees the Kreeps as a fitting name because of the house they moved into and also the way they present themselves. Throughout the book Polly is trying to find a mom for her dad to help raise the kids. Polly’s plans go awry when her father starts hanging out with Veronica. Then one day, her father tells the family that he is going to marry Veronica. This book was a very easy read. The font was large and the story was short. Meet the Kreeps is a book series that has a couple of books. With the way the book ends, where Veronica and Polly’s dad are getting married, it leaves the reader with a cliffhanger. It makes the reader want to immediately pick up the next book and start reading story two from the book series. This would be a good book to teach acceptance to a child who has a single parent and may be going through a recent marriage.

I liked the story for the characters The characters, the four friends, are believable. They are typical young girls and can possibly relate to the readers. Lainey dreams of talking to animals, Kate loves adventures, Mia loves anything beautiful and Gabby believes in fairies. If a reader could connect to one of these characters, it will feel as if they are on the adventure themselves. I also like the book for the few illustrations that are in the story. The illustrations enhance the story. One of the illustrations is of the four girls, which helps the readers visualize throughout the story. The illustrations also show the girls in both worlds, which allows the readers to distinguish the location of where the story is taking place.

The is an adaptation of the Walt Disney animation. Nice enough and came in a box set with a little toy Stitch. I wanted to keep Stitch, but not the book...

This book is one of a series. It tells the story of Mia, who signs up to bake for the neighborhood block party. The block party was being organized to raise money for the Davis family, who lost all their possessions in a house fire. Mia gets challenged by the Taylor twins to see who can raise more money at the block party. Mia, however, is unsure of her baking skills. She gets help from her fairy friends in Neverland, and sells "Fairy Cakes" at the party. It is a wonderful story.

This book was actually recommended to me by my younger cousin. She loved the story and has begun reading the series. This is the first of a series that is particularly popular among young girls because it is a story of four girls who go on an adventure. They experience things they never thought they could experience and see things that seem unreal. The come in contact with several different fairies and disney characters that make the book filled with excitement. All of their favorite characters are put into one series of chapter books in stories that are sometimes related to the movies about the characters and sometimes not.

From the Mist is the fourth installment in Disney’s The Never Girls series, which is about a group of four girls that who find a portal to a world called Never Land that is inhabited by fairies and other magical creatures. This installment of the series explores what happens when the girls--Kate, Mia, Lainey, and Gabby--arrive in Never Land to discover it has been engulfed in a layer of thick mist. When they discover it is the result of mist horses arriving in Pixie Hollow, the girls and their fairy friends become wary of it--except for Kate, who decides to befriend one of the horses and ride her around Never Land, causing quite a bit of panic when one of the fairies discovers a myth about the horses. The simple illustrations provide an additional portal through which the reader can join the girls on their journey. Exciting and action driven, this book is sure to capture the attentions of girls in mid-to-late elementary school, particularly those who are enchanted by fantasy worlds.½

This is a wonderful story about four girls who are all close friends who go into a world that they could never imagine going. Some girls are hearing different things and are visually seeing things that others may see as impossible. Well that is until they come across the infamous Tinkerbell and the other fairies! This book is filled with wonderful adventures and imagination for the readers to get lost in and they can use their prior knowledge of the Peter Pan experience and the imagination and wonder of Never Land! It is not only the imagination of the adventure of this book that makes it so wonderful but the pictures that go along with the text of this book to really grasp the attention of the reader!

Age 7-9. The third book in Disney’s latest series Never Girls, about four girls and their adventures in Neverland. This installment focuses on Mia and the task set for her to watch her younger sister Gabby. She rejects her responsibility and goes to Neverland anyways, bringing back a fairy named Rosetta to play with. She refuses to let her sister play with them, so Gabby rebels and runs to Neverland alone. The problem is the portal between lands closes and traps Gabby and Rosetta away from their respective homes. Mia and her friends must fix this mix up before her parents realize she’s lost her sister! The story is written in short, formulaic chapters and uses a familiar universe for Disney fans that makes it a solid transition for young girls to explore higher reading levels. The major themes are showing consequences for not following through with your responsibilities and appreciating what you have. Girls with younger or older sisters would especially relate to Mia and Gabby’s frustration with one another and their eventual reconciliation. But really any girl that just loves fairies and adventures will fall in love with this series. Recommended.½

The premise of A Dandelion Wish is frequently borrowed but still effective: children find a portal within their homes to a magical world (that they also must protect from adult interference), and their escape to this world means extraordinary adventures, complicated problem-solving and eventually, inner growth. The magic that a young reader finds within A Dandelion Wish will not be from fairies, but from the comfort of a well-worn tale and lighthearted escapism.
Kiki Thorpe has put two sisters at the center of the third book in The Never Girls series, at odds with each other from the very start, when older sister Mia is stuck babysitting little Gabby instead of venturing back into Neverland with her friends, Kate and Lainey. Both girls attempt to get their own way: Mia sneaks into Neverland and brings a fairy back to her house to try on doll clothes, while Gabby, turned away from the fairy fashion-show fun, makes her own escape to Neverland to seek entertainment.
This story is divided into short, easy-to-swallow chapters, peppered with soft, whimsical gray-scale drawings by Jana Christy, perfect for readers new to chapter books. A Dandelion Wish may be a little cloying for adult readers, but they will appreciate Thorpe’s well-meaning effort to accurately display sibling interactions and their endless battle of who-is-annoying-whom/who-is-being-not-fair-to-whom. They will also hopefully appreciate that a Latino family is so prominently featured in a mass-produced series, which continues to be a rarity in children’s literature.
