The John Thomson Collection: Fine photographs of… por John THOMSON

A limited edition series of 40 hand-finished silver gelatine prints. Printed using the original glass-plate negatives in the possession of The Wellcome Trust, London.

John Thomson was born in Edinburgh in 1837 and made his first journey to Asia in 1862, settling first in Penang, then Singapore and Hong Kong.
