Michel Tarou

I enjoyed this one about a long time social worker who finally snaps from all the stress of trying to assist people to obtain a better life with rarely a desirable outcome. Year after year she visits some of the same families and nothing ever changes. Her frustrations, stress, and anger finally cause some serious short circuits within her brain and she takes matters into her own hands. Her actions are wrong but she feels she is doing the right thing because it improves (she feels) the lives of the families she has been desperately trying to help.

To be honest I found myself cheering for her at times. There have certainly been people in my life I dreamed about running down with my car! After all this is fiction and the best part of reading is escaping into someone else’s life and enjoying the ride. :)
