Jeremy Summers (1) (1931–2016)

Nice, bright cinematography, plenty of travelogue style shots of Hong Kong and the presence of Maria Rohm, Klaus Kinski and Christopher Lee do little to enhance this mediocre espionage "thriller". The story by Harry Alan Towers sees the members of the Five Dragons crime syndicate meeting in Hong Kong to dissolve their criminal enterprise, American playboy Bob Mitchell (Robert Cummings) accidently stumbles into proceedings. Unfortunately, the film has few thrills and very little action other than some interminable and boring chase sequences. Everything is dragged out to no real purpose and the film is fatally flawed by an ill-cast Robert Cimmings in the lead role. Margaret Lee and Maria Rohm bring plenty of glamour and Yukari Itô provides a nice club performance and song in the middle of the film, These brief high points do little, however, to perk up the sagging mess of the overall film.… (más)
