Ellen Singer decides she wants to try an online dating site, after being encouraged by one of her friends. She meets a man she thinks is a nice guy and could be right for her. Then she disappears, her family and friends have no clue what happened. FBI Agent Arnie Darrow starts his investigation. What he learns is very disturbing and soon it become a race against time to find (and save)Ellen.

Ellen is a likable person, who just wants to find a nice guy. She has no clue what she is getting herself into, and learns she has made a horrific mistake. The plot is original, yet very believable, which makes this story so intense and frightening. The descriptive details are chilling. A fantastic edge-of-your-seat read. I highly recommend Basking in the Light to those who love a great thriller. A definite five-star read!
