I really liked this book because the main character acts selflessly even though it's very hard for him, and then gets rewarded. A very romantic plot!

Artis has had a crush on Kris since college, but nothing ever came of it because Kris went off to become a very successful motorcycle racer. When they run itno each other at a photo-up after a race ten years later, both of them are made to think about redefining their lives.

The passion between Artis and Kris was high and the emotions didn't get left behind. Just the way I like it.… (más)

too much plot for the length, particularly given the prologue and what it implied.

I absolutely adored the characters in this book. I adored Luke. His character was strong and sexy, but sensitive and tenderhearted. His buddy Nick, the matchmaker as I’ve dubbed him, is a sweetheart and he really lent a wonderful aspect to the story. But, my favorite character was Anthony. I loved the way he was so good to Luke being his friend first and foremost, knowing that Luke has been through an ordeal.

I loved the plot line. It started out hot and heavy with a fabulous erotic scene, and then wound down into what the actual story was about. The start of the story was needed to understand Luke’s take on life and his feelings about dating. For a novella, this was truly a wonderfully written piece that comes to life for the reader.

All in all, this is a beautifully done novella. The ending hits all the right places. While I would have loved to have continued on with the story and not said goodbye to characters that made a home in my heart, Mr. Steele rounded out the story in a fabulous way. The romance between the characters was well written and not overly sappy like some, and that is what draws me to a m/m romance.

Okay, so forget the weak and contradictory characterisations, forget the time jumps, the choppy plot, the poorly structured sentences, and the unrealistically extreme situations (sleeping for 4 days with no food or water? Really?), I just couldn't get over the casual mention of the MC being forced to 'perform his husbandly duties' by his wife - who knew he was gay and unwilling but told him that "she had to make sacrifices and so did he for their son". Ew.
