Modou Lamin Sowe is a young multi-talented renowned Gambian author, who started writing at the age of 14, and his first literary work, Don’t Judge the Book by the Cover was well received. He is an avid reader who’s read hundreds of books on fiction and non-fiction as a librarian at his former school— Masroor Senior Secondary School. He founded the Young Writers’ Association of the Gambia (YWAG) in 2012, and currently the Assistant Secretary General and President of the Young Writers’ at the Writers’ Association of The Gambia (WAG). In addition to his work, Modou Lamin is a song-writer, an actor, a poet and a renowned playwright. He’s a brilliant orator, veteran young scholar, a young philosopher and novelist. He trained at ECOWAS Regional Observatory Board for West Africa in Intellectual Property, Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights in 2014, and at the Gambia National Library in Library Science and Management.
He writes under the penname: Modou Lamin Age-Almusaf Sowe. He’s an African Writer who’s running an Online Blog on Google-Blogger ; known as VoiceOfThePen.

He’s as well a former English-Literature teacher and filmmaker, debuted for his films and scripts; among others include: ‘Babili-Mansa’. He’s written a number of papers and teaching materials in academia, including: SUCCESS, THE SUCCESSFUL AND HOW TO SUCCEED, Gambian Literature, Criticism on FGM and How Culture, Environment Influence One’s Life, etc. Books he has published include: The Throne of the Ghost (play) , Temple of Wisdom (poetry)Spit of Misery (poetry) and The Memories of Reflection (novella) . His Novella (The Memories of Reflection) was approved in 2014, by the Ministry of Education of The Gambia (MoBSE) to be used in upper basic schools as a supplementary reading material.
