It's interesting to consider how this series has evolved over the years, from a small digest size, to an almost coffee-table format, with the main consideration being how the larger size really does justice to the color art and photos or surviving examples of the subject that are the backbone of this book. While developmental and operational history are not slighted, this work really is for the modeler who wants to turn out a first-rate model of this aircraft.

This monograph is your typical Mushroom production and if you're looking for an English-language work on this plane you'll basically be satisfied. That I didn't rate it a little higher is due to how it could have stood some closer editing, particularly in the chapter dealing with Italian service in North Africa.
