As a reader this book requires a time investment, coming in at well over 700 pages. The good news is it isn't a waste of time.
I'm not normally one to go for longer works, with a few high profile exceptions. I found Simmill's story engaging enough to keep the pages turning.
Make no mistake this is a fantasy book. Zoella, one of the main characters has no memory. There is something lurking in her past. There's a whole good vs bad scenario brewing from the get-go. Zoella and four others find themselves setting out together on an epic journey.
The plot is complex and can be a bit overwhelming. This isn't a book to skim through, it requires your full attention.

Another long read, but well worth the time investment. I've become a fan of Simmill's writing style and have already finished the next book in the series! I look forward to what's coming next.
At just over 500 pages this is one of Simmill's smaller books. It is also my favourite out of the series. I am truly hooked and will be picking up all of this authors books as they come out. I don't mind recommending them to others either.

It even gives you all the instructions on how to use the herbs in multiple different ways. This is a book that will come in handy in more than one way!
