Despite a good cast and glorious color, this period piece just plods along as one person after another is murdered by what may be a mysterious bird, but never in an entertaining way. The climax is pretty silly. Not recommended.

Jaap van Leyden (Sir Ralph Richardson) is in charge of a shipyard in newly occupied Holland. At first he collaborates with the Germans because it is the easiest course to follow. Later, a child's rhyme reminds him of his patriotic duty, but how best to resist the Nazis without endangering his wife and fellow workers? (fonte: Imdb)

This forgotten war adventure centers on the secret Nazi missile installation of the V1 Rocket. Michael Rennie is a guerilla fighter who leads a group of Polish fighters on a mission to destroy the base and cripple the German war effort. Sir Christopher Lee is terrific as a cruel Nazi commander. (fonte: imdb)

Peter Bryan's screenplay is more than a touch ludicrous, the production values are shoddy and the creature effects laughable, but on the plus side director Vernon Sewell keeps things going at a reasonable clip; Peter Cushing and Robert Flemyng give reasonably strong performances and Wanda Ventham is suitable evil. Roy Hudd also throws in some decent comic relief as a cheerful mortuary attendant. "The Blood Beast Terror" is far from being a genre classic but it is a fun and cheesy slice of light-hearted horror hokum.… (más)
