Biografía breve
John A. Schindler, M.D. was a Wisconsin physician and author. He founded the distinguished Monroe Clinic in 1939, where he advanced his revolutionary theories on psychosomatic medicine and introduced the powerful concept of EII, or “emotionally induced illness,” long before most physicians were aware of the connection between emotions and physical health.

Dr. Schindler’s 1949 radio broadcast, titled “How to Live a Hundred Years Happily,” was so well received that transcripts of the show were printed and sold by the thousands. This led him to write the highly influential New York Times bestseller “How to Live 365 Days a Year “in 1955, which has been published in more than 13 languages.

In addition to writing “How to Live 365 Days a Year,” Schindler also authored a second major health book in 1956 titled “Woman's Guide to Better Living" as well as a history of southwest Wisconsin called "The Old Lead Trail." The latter was required reading for 7th grade in Wisconsin schools.

Dr. Schindler was killed in a car accident in 1957 while returning home from a late night patient house call. He was 54 years old at the time of his unexpected death.
