DARKLANDS PARANORMAL is a fascinating non-fiction account of paranormal investigators Marco Santucci and Scott Ault, who use video and sound equipment to record paranormal phenomenon that may indicate the presence of ghosts and other paranormal beings. The book chronicles their trips to various haunted and historical sites and what they experienced at each one, and includes QR codes that can be scanned to provide added files to listen to if the reader wants examples to enhance the reading experience. Readers with an interest in the paranormal will no doubt find this really cool and I really enjoyed the author’s dedication and enthusiasm for his work and also found the description of all the various historical sites especially interesting. 4/5 stars.… (más)

I guess you know this feeling: you scroll through youtube/tiktok/anything else and you find a super-viral video with "100% true" paranormal stuff. You do some research and... it turns out to be fake. Luckily, this author sounds way more honest than all these attention-seeking content creators. I appreciate how many stories from this book have some evidence (like sound recordings.) I think it's a great idea. Gathering evidence about paranormal activities may help with research and understanding of these things. Overall, I enjoyed the writing style here. This author always gives some background and context, so it's easier to understand some events. It makes this book sound coherent and more convincing.… (más)
