Ok, I admit it. I love old postcards. So this catalog from the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition of postcards collected by the noted photographer Walker Evans was a must for me.

Artists have the unique ability to enable us to see miraculous beauty in the ordinary. This collection of postcards gathered over decades by Evans does just that. It slows time down for a moment and encourages us to take a second look at mass-produced, inexpensive images of small town America created by anonymous photographers.
