This is a very funny hagiography of the lives of the saints with short, pithy entries along with a calendar of saint days. Told a bit tongue in cheek, it's charming and helps explain so many mysteries about the symbolism of saints. Such as why is that saint carrying a platter with a pair of eyes on it or why another saint offers protection from mad dogs. Although Catholics will enjoy it, puzzled Protestants can finally get their questions answered as to what the saints are all about.
