This book had potential but it was diminished by how fast everything happened. I think if the story wasn't as rushed it would have been better. Even though this wasn't my favorite of this interconnected world of books, I still appreciate the authors and their hard work.

This book was a surprise. Other than the prologue and the very ending, it was in the past. I was expecting flashbacks not the build up to the future in book two. However, it was still a solid book, just different.

I liked that the author showed how BDSM can help people overcome trauma. Having an outlet to turn something horrible without any control to a moment where a person has control --all the control-- is power. And reclaiming that power is exhilarating.

This was different than i was expecting. I expected something a tad darker. This was an interesting forray into BDSM and how it was incorporated into their relationship.
