Paris Reidhead

The sermon that exposes the vast majority of American Christianity as a humanistic sham. Powerful! Rather than read the transcript, however, I recommend listening to the audio message online (e.g., sermonindex.net).

Good stuff. No one but the Holy Spirit has the authority to assure a person of eternal life!

This is one of my favorite books. It shows much of what's wrong with the modern church, our view of God, approach to evangelism, and motivation for service. Much of the information can be found in Reidhead's sermons, such as "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" and others.

Some really good stuff about the importance of praise and of seeking God's will, and a few interesting anecdotes. The praise he gave Julian of Norwich and another monk is disappointing.
