Michael Ransom

This book had it all, a sly serial killer, a southern setting, family drama, a nice story line about genetics. But although I enjoyed the book, there seemed to be something missing. It took me a long time to read and that is a sure sign that I am not that engaged. But I just can't put my finger on the reason. I know I was hoping for more genetics than it delivered. And it was a bit slow with a too fast resolution. Okay, maybe I can put my finger on it.

This was a fast paced thriller that was very hard to put down especially a little more than half way through. I had to stay up late to finish the ending. Something new happens around every corner. This is his first novel and I really look forward to his next one. I hope he will write more books that have Lucas and Woodson. I loved the science part of the story also. I received this book from Smith Publicity, Inc. For a fair and honest opinion.
