Mark A. Radcliffe

I was lucky enough to hear Mark Radcliffe speak at the recent Madness and Literature conference in Nottingham. He referred to this book as a 'gentle satire' on the process of psychotherapy, and its setting in a purgatorial pre-death therapy clinic (run by angels)certainly gives plenty of room for the teasing of therapeutic groupwork. The short readings he gave also gave a flavour of the humour, realistic dialogue and well observed modern characters who inhabit this book What he was too modest to admit, or perhaps chose not to emphasize, is that this book is beautifully observed study of human relationships, hopes and aspirations, and most of all a wonderful love story.… (más)
